Borbulious

Dwarves bend nature to their will. Borb left the forges of his homeland to work alongside it instead, and in Gede he found a god who agreed with him and a gift he had not known was there. His witchcraft comes up out of the land. It is no fell bargain struck with Shune, and he will tell you so. He has been at it long enough now that it stopped being a choice and became the thing he is.

Ravenmere was close to home and something in it had gone bad, so he signed on with a traveling mercenary company to help clean it out. Then he went to cast, and there was nothing there.

They killed Lady Ravenmere and they ran, and as far as the company is concerned that finished the job. They took their share and went looking for the next one. Borb knows better. Lord Ravenmere’s ghost named two conditions, and neither of them was killing his wife. Lay the family in their crypts, get the page of the Necronomicon out of the house, and the manor is his. The bodies are still down there, and so is the page keeping them up. Victor Ravenmere wanted that signet ring and did not get it, which makes him the second problem.

Back in town he drank the night through with a priest of Gede, who believed him. That is one ally. Sixteen gold will not hire a crew, and Gede has not said anything since.

Deity Gede

Holds the Ravenmere signet ring, and the manor's curse along with it. Believes Gede has withdrawn her favor and that his magic will not come back until he earns it.
